[Vercel AI Chatbot](https://github.com/vercel/ai-chatbot) is Vercel's official open-source starter for building a production AI chatbot with Next.js and the AI SDK. It ships with streaming chat, a model picker that works across providers (xAI, OpenAI, Anthropic and more), chat history persistence, file uploads, and login. Auth uses Auth.js, data is stored in Neon Postgres with Vercel Blob for files, and the UI is Tailwind CSS plus shadcn/ui. Deploy it to Vercel in a few clicks, then swap in your own model and system prompt.
