What they built

HeadshotPro turns a handful of casual selfies into professional corporate headshots. You upload photos, an AI model trains on your face, and you get studio-style portraits back in a couple of hours. The people who need this are obvious: remote teams who never meet in person, job seekers, founders who want a clean LinkedIn photo without booking a photographer. Danny Postma built it alone after an earlier exit, so he already knew how to ship and how to sell.

How they did it

Two channels did most of the work: search and affiliates. Danny built pages that rank for the exact things buyers type, like team headshots and AI headshot generator, so free traffic keeps arriving without ad spend. On top of that he opened an affiliate program that pays creators to send customers, which turned other people's audiences into a sales force. He also launched loud, showing the product in public on X during the first weeks so the initial spike had somewhere to land.

The numbers

HeadshotPro is widely reported at around $300K a month. The affiliate program alone pays out more than $50K a month, which the company states is about 15% of total revenue, and that math points straight at roughly $300K MRR (source).
